Endangered Species.
There are many threats to the
environment in our times but one of them that don’t get much attention is one
of the most importants, I’m talking about endangered species.
Endangered species is a huge
trouble that we need to resolve. The term “Endangered Species” is used when a
species which has been categorized by the International Union for Conservation
of Nature (IUCN) Red List as likely to become extinct, so we used that term
when we talk about a species that is about to disappear. When a species is at the gates of extinction is
usually caused by human action such as overexploitation, habitat loss, illegal
hunting and many more. Nations have laws to protect conservation reliant
species for example: forbidding hunting, restricting land use and creating
special preserves for natural wild life but sadly that’s not enough, the last
IUCN report published that a total of 71,576 species are in danger. We have way
to many animals walking on the edge of extinction and that’s something we can’t
allow.
People are usually unaware of
how important are these animals for the world. There are many consequences if
one of these species goes extinct, in fact it makes a huge difference in global
impact. Each of those creatures are part of a bigger system that needs balance,
If one part of the system is removed the system is no longer in balance, what
happen to the prey if the predator becomes extinct? , well the population of
the prey growns without control and that could threaten other forms of life in
the ecosystem, With one species gone, the environment must find a new balance and repair itself, or
others species will fail as well.
Besides the global threat it is important to preserve these species safe
and take care of them because our planet is a better place with them. Every single
animal is important for the environment losing one of them contributes to the
unraveling of our planet's sustainability, and that makes a difference to every
single one of us.
